Botswana is one of Africa's most stable countries. Decades of peaceful democracy, honest governance, a currency people trust. But stability at the level of the state does not mean fairness at the level of the person. A young person in Botswana who finishes school today has a phone in their hand and almost nothing else: no fair access to credit, no way to sell beyond their street, no financial tools that treat them as an adult. The banks serve a small circle, and everyone else is left outside.

The problem is not that Botswana lacks money. It is one of the most prosperous countries on the continent. The problem is that prosperity does not reach the young, the small trader, the person in the minibus economy. Diamonds built the country, but they did not build a digital spine for the everyday economy. We are here to help build that spine.

So we are building in Botswana what we build in Namibia, South Africa and the Congo:
